After 17 years as a reporter and online news editor, Marie K. Shanahan now teaches digital newsgathering, multimedia storytelling and online media ethics at the University of Connecticut. Her research explores the intersection of journalism and technology, with a focus on anonymous online speech, online commenting, digital reputation and digital defamation.
